'The earth has music for those who listen'
15th June 2018
Once again this year New School Rome produced a show at the summer fair, where every member of the primary department played an instrument, sang and danced.
This year Emma wrote a show combining rock songs and Shakespearean dialogue. Poor old William Shakespeare had to find a new form of entertainment for Queen Elizabeth I after her annoyance at yet more recorders at the Globe, and enrolled at a school of rock.
Needless to say the queen became a convert to the new tempo. The children had an amazing time, and performed with gusto! The parents enjoyed themselves too! It was a wonderful end to an exciting year in music at New School Rome. Well done, Primary department!
