Egyptian Fact Finding in The Vatican Museum
11th February 2016
Year five had a fantastic time treasure hunting in the Egyptian Rooms in order to find out more about Ancient Egypt. They learnt about shabtis and canopic jars; searched for all the different materials which were used to make the artefacts (so that they could link this to their science topic); found hidden symbols in statues and art work and worked together to solve puzzles. The parents who came along were brilliant guides and Jackie Norris even went to the trouble of writing children’s names in hieroglyphics for them!
