Charity Music Concert
26th October 2018
On Wednesday, 24th October New School Choirs, both Junior and Senior gave a lunchtime concert to raise funds for the victims of the recent tsunami in Indonesia. It was a very moving tribute, with a range of songs from Ghanaian acapella to Bob Dylan, and even 'Monster mash`! It was the first outing for the Junior choir, and they were wonderful. Charles, the representative from the Indonesian embassy talked to the students after the concert. He was very appreciative, being a keen musician himself!
All students sang beautifully, and more than 600 euro was raised, which will be sent to a charity involved in the rebuilding of the area.
Emma was particularly impressed with the team spirit and absolute empathy and joy emanating from all students during rehearsals and the concert.
Well done, Choir! A very proud moment for New School!
