Christiane            Ayza     and Jasmin    reporting…                    The            Wyrd Sisters                              Play

Every year the senior school produces a play to entertain the parents and teachers. This year, students throughout years 7 to 13 auditioned for parts in Wyrd Sisters, by Terry Pratchett, with Jo Bardsley, our Drama and English teacher.

  The story is set in the fictional Discworld, where the surface of the planet is completely flat, carried through space on the shoulders of four elephants, which, in turn, stand on the back of a giant turtle, who steadily carries them all through space.

When three witches meddling with royal politics, the mysterious death of a king, a miserable jester, an adopted actor, a simple stage-crew, demons, robbers that fear that they have stolen more money than is in their quota and more clash together, they create a whirlwind of colour and plot.

After rehearsing consistently for more than 9 months, the final performances took place on March 4^th and 5^th. 

The play turned out wonderfully and was a memorable experience for all those who  participated.

The audiences were supportive throughout the performances and clapped loudly at the end of every scene.  We were very enthusiastic about this and performed with all our energy. Overall, everyone had lots of fun and enjoyed every moment of it!!!
