HOMELondon Theatre Trip - Year 12

In January 2008, the Year 12 English Literature group went to London for three days to visit the Globe Theatre and to see a production of Oscar Wilde’s ‘ The Importance of Being Earnest.’

The trip was very successful. The production was marvellous and the students learned a great deal about the traditions of English theatre. The sightseeing we did in London was also fantastic… the shopping was pretty good too!

    Emily says:
We were in London for two days and we had loads of fun. The play   “The Importance of Being Earnest” at the Lyceum Theatre was fascinating and extremely enjoyable.  We also met some students from a local school; we had dinner with them and we are still in touch now! We also enjoyed a day of touring London and we visited several art museums and took an interesting tour of the Globe. One of the most enjoyable parts was the shopping and all of us managed to get back home with our suitcases double the size, full of clothes and chocolate!! We had a lot of time to get to know each other better and we all enjoyed staying together out of school with Eugenie.  Thanks to Eugenie the trip was extremely successful and loads of fun!
